Subject: Another little funny to brighten your day
Content: David, my 21-month-old son, and I were watching TV. We don't have cable or satellite anymore, so we are forced to watch not only the commercials, but also the political commercials (I know! I miss TiVO!) Anyway, we were tuning out the commercials when an Obama ad came on (I think it was the "I don't care about those guys, I care about these guys" ad... really, I mean come on, what is the percentage of Americans working in factories, anyway? Every four years, you'd think it's like 90%!) So yeah, the commercial came on. David started freaking out and pointing at the TV. So I asked him, "Do you like Obama?" He looked at me with a very serious face and shook his head and in his little toddler voice said, "No." Just to be bi-partisan, I asked, "Do you like McCain?" He looked at me again with his big blue eyes, shook his head, and said, "No." He's learned early that politics is a crap shoot... I don't know if that's a good thing or bad, but we'll be taking him to the polling place with us on Tuesday. Don't forget to vote!
