Dear Reader, For the past few days I have been smacking my head against the wall, reaching and grasping for a subject the way a man falling from a tree might reach and grasp for a leafy branch before plummeting to The Earth. There’s no shortage of subjects out there—Hillary and Obama duking it out; or how the conservative base is reeling like The German Army in 44’ in the face of Mccain’s Pattonian onslaught in the primaries. Neither of the subjects really interest me. I cannot stand Mccain and come November I will hold my nose when I vote for him. I would rather see Hillarious win against Obama because I think it would be better for The Republican Party, but at the same time I love seeing her campaign falter. With all her money and all her political clout she’s taking a beating. Even The Democrats have had enough of The Clintons. Scary stuff. I was doing the usual rounds—Fox News and The Drudge Report—when I came across a story today that, like a flint-stone, ignited that fire within me. It seems Google banned a blogger/ news organization that was a UN Watchdog and was exposing UN corruption. I was surprised to find it on Fox News, because usually The Drudge Report is more adapt at finding stories like these. It seems “beginning February 13, Google News users could no longer find news stories from Inner City Press.” It seems this site has dared to criticize The UN and found itself being blacklisted by Google for it. For those of you that don’t know this, Google and The UN are tied to the hip on a few issues. Now I don’t know the site very well but anybody that takes on the crooked and now defunct body that we call The United Nations moves into the realm of real news. The mainstream media would never report this, because they’re too busy heaping praise on Obama and using every thing in their considerable power to destroy Bush and conservative thought. I don’t agree with Bush on many points but the last four years have been an assassination attempt on his character by The Usual Suspects—the left wing media. In time I became so fed up I stopped watching TV altogether. I can only take so many lies. It’s just hard for me to get behind a Organization that puts nations who are the worst human rights abusers like Libya, Sudan, Cuba, China, and many more on its—it’s almost laughable here if it wasn’t such a shame—Human Rights Council. This would be The American equivalent of promoting Michael Vick to lead Peta. Or worse yet, this is an organization that puts the financial interests of the people who run it ahead of the sound policy of spreading freedom and hope to all parts of the world. The very fact that Saddam was able to buy off members of The UN so he could hold onto power should tell us what this organization represents—the interests of rogue states that are willing to line these officials, these trustee’s of international cooperation, with pockets full of blood money. I don’t see liberals saying a whole lot on this subject. Probably because it was their guy, Bill Clinton, one Woody in Chief, that set The Oil for Food program up. It’s obvious The UN doesn’t stand with The United States, the nation that has brought freedom to millions of people through its willingness to fight and stand toe to toe with oppressors. Of course, The Bush administration resisted and did not seek election to this council, instead using a wait and see approach. No need too, Mr President, we have seen The UN fail one too many times. For an organization that was so against the removal of Saddam Hussein by American military force, we have seen that it was more than happy to put American lives in danger and at risk in places like Somalia, Bosnia, and Kosovo. Saddam laughed off The UN for over ten years while defying 17 UN Resolutions. The first time they were bombed in post Saddam Iraq they tucked tail and ran like the cowering curs they are. It’s a spineless organization that is shameless, a mouthpiece for the most brutal rogue nations on the planet, embraced by the left in this country, crackpot dictators, and an arrogant and impotent Europe. The UN leaves such a rank taste in my mouth that I could never support the use of American troops under a UN flag again. Our concerns should be our borders, our own national security interests, and the security of our true allies. Honestly, I think we should invade and liberate Euro-Disney and replace it with another theme park—The United Nations. It would not take a lot, perhaps, maybe a platoon of Girl Scouts armed with cookies to do the job. As some of you may already know, I have this deep disgust with anything French. I despise Chirac and believe The French left us hanging in the build up to the war with Iraq. I guess it must must have been hard for The French government to give up those kick backs from Sadam Hussein. However, with the election of Sarkozy, the edge that I would sometimes feel when I talked about our supposed allies, is not nearly as sharp as it once was. Although, I still love a good French joke and I'll never be a fan of The French. "France has neither winter nor summer nor morals. Apart from these drawbacks it is a fine country. France has usually been governed by prostitutes." --Mark Twain "I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me." General George S. Patton "Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion." --Norman Schwartzkopf "We can stand here like the French, or we can do something about it." --Marge Simpson "As far as I'm concerned, war always means failure." --Jacques Chirac, President of France "As far as France is concerned, you're right." --Rush Limbaugh "The only time France wants us to go to war is when the German Army is sitting in Paris sipping coffee." --Regis Philbin "You know, the French remind me a little bit of an aging actress of the 1940s who was still trying to dine out on her looks but doesn't have the face for it." --John McCain , U.S. Senator from Arizona "The last time the French asked for 'more proof' it came marching into Paris under a German flag." --David Letterman "Only thing worse than a Frenchman is a Frenchman who lives in Canada." --Ted Nugent "War without France would be like ... World War II." --Unknown "The favorite bumper sticker in Washington D.C. right now is one that says 'First Iraq, then France.'" --Tom Brokaw "What do you expect from a culture and a nation that exerted more of its national will fighting against Disney World and Big Macs than the Nazis?" --Dennis Miller "It is important to remember that the French have always been there when they needed us." --Alan Kent "They've taken their own precautions against al-Qa'ida. To prepare for an attack, each Frenchman is urged to keep duct tape, a white flag, and a three-day supply of mistresses in the house." --Argus Hamilton "Somebody was telling me about the French Army rifle that was being advertised on eBay the other day --the description was, 'Never shot. Dropped once.'" --Rep. Roy Blunt, MO "The French will only agree to go to war when we've proven we've found truffles in Iraq " --Dennis Miller Q. What did the mayor of Paris say to the German Army as they entered the city in WWII? A. Table for 100,000 m'sieur? "Do you know how many Frenchmen it takes to defend Paris? It's not known, it's never been tried." --Rep. R. Blount, MO "Do you know it only took Germany three days to conquer France in WWII? And that's because it was raining." --John Xereas, Manager, DC Improv The AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced after the London bombings that it has raised its terror alert level from Run to Hide. The only two higher levels in France are Surrender and Collaborate. The rise in the alert level was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively disabling their military. French Ban Fireworks at Euro Disney (AP), Paris, March 5, 2003 The French Government announced today that it is imposing a ban on the use of fireworks at Euro Disney. The decision comes the day after a nightly fireworks display at the park, located just 30 miles outside of Paris, caused the soldiers at a nearby French Army garrison to surrender to a group of Czech tourists. I had no hand in making any of these, nor do I vouch for the authenticity. I'm just passing them on because I find them amusing.

Dear Reader, You may be asking why I would suddenly support John Mccain when I spent an ample amount of time trashing him right before Super Tuesday. Since then, Romney has dropped out of the race, citing that Mccain is a Conservative that will fight The War On Terror better than a Democrat would (I would agree with this) and to keep the party intact for the slugfest that is coming this Summer and Fall. While some believe this may be an opportunity for Huckabee, Mccain leads by the large margin of 724-196 in delegates. With this momentum, I think Mccain will be The Republican nominee for President of The United States. So where does that leave Conservatives? Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and James Dobson have all said they will not support Mccain. I agree with Rush that Obama poses the much greater threat than Hillary but I disagree with all three offering no support to Mccain. Look, I do not like Mccain. The thought of him in The White House makes me feel the same way I felt after my Charger's were beat by New England two years in row in the playoffs--disgusted. I might have been able to get around the fact he voted against Bush's tax cuts but his amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy sealed his fate with me. I support him now because I have too, not because I want too. For all my animosity towards Mccain there are a few things that are so important that it's better to have him in The White House than Obama or Hillary. One, Mccain is a "Terror" warrior. He's backed The War on Terror and I believe he will continue to hunt these mass murderers of innocent civilians down. Despite what the left and the media tell us, we are locked in a death fight with Islamo-Facism. We saw what the last Clinton in office left us after 8 years in office--a stronger, more dangerous Al Qaeda. Osama believed we were a "Paper tiger" and that if enough casualties could be inflicted on us we would run. His basis for this opinion was Somalia. Furthermore, Iran is arming itself. It's currently testing advanced centrifuges and many think within three years it will have nuclear capabilities. Who do we want to deal with this problem--Mccain or The Defeatocrats? A nuclear Iran is an Iran The United States cannot tolerate. We plant the seeds of appeasement at our own peril. The judiciary in this country is a direct threat to our way of life. Liberal judges have taken the power from the legislature, and have started down a very dangerous path of making law instead of upholding law. We have seen in case after case, terrible decisions being handed down. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is the probably the looniest and the biggest offender. In 2002, The Ninth ruled that the phrase "one nation under God" was unconstitutional. The Supreme Court overruled it later. Also in 2002 it ruled that there was no right to keep and bear arms; it ruled California's three strikes law was unconstitutional; it ruled an Arizona amendment that required state business to be conducted in English violated the First Amendment; and basically on and on. Congress passed The Partial Birth Abortion Ban in 2003. One of the most barbaric practices in Western Civilization, it was upheld as Constitutional by The Supreme Court in a 5-4 decision in 2006. If holding onto the majority, and possibly increasing the majority of The Supreme Court with judges who strictly interpret the meaning of The Constitution, means voting for John Mccain than he has my vote. This is a democracy, not a judicial oligarchy. These are a few unelected officials imposing their will through law on The American people. With Hillary or Obama we know what kind of judges we will get—Ginsberg or Breyer. At least with Mccain we have a shot at getting one of our own on the bench. I will take some chance over no chance. And with the advanced age of Ginsberg and Stevens, there is a strong possibility of one, maybe two openings in the next 4 years. These reasons and these reasons alone will allow me to overcome that feeling of nausea and vote for a man I really don’t want to vote for. Conservatives should rally around him and hope Hillary wins the nomination for The Democratic Party (she has a glass chin and she’s very beatable). She’s also extremely polarizing and nothing shores up the base like a Clinton running for office.

Dear Reader, I tell you if I had my way I would have loved to have seen Newt Gingrich run. Newt is intelligent, visionary, solution oriented, his conservative roots embedded in his deep love of American History. His meteoric rise in 94 when The Republicans swept to power was followed by "The Contract with America." He led the charge to fix welfare--twice vetoed by Bill Clinton before he realized he would lose the election if he didn't sign it into law--and came nearly three votes away in The Senate from passing a balanced budget amendment (the only sure fire way to hold politicians from both parties accountable with our money). However, since he feels he can do more good as a civilian than a politician, I guess I will have to settle this year--a year in which we see The Rise of another Clinton. And who do we have to take on this nemesis of the right, this fire breathing, teary eyed, left wing dragon that strikes fear into the heart of every conservative with every sulfer ridden lie? Who is the knight that will save us and this country from this putrid beast who will fill the ambitions of the moveon.org crowd (or The Democratic party)by creating an even bigger "Nanny" state with socialized medicine? John Mccain? God, help us all if this is the knight that is chosen. Mccain is no longer a maverick but an established, polished politician who will say and do anything to be elected president. I have read his books and he has served his country with honor--and for that I salute him. However, since his 2000 bid for the preidency has failed, he has voted for big government picking our pockets (Bush's tax cuts), he voted for an open border and just giving away one of the most precious treasures in all this world--American citizenship--with his amnesty bill. He opposed The Ensign Bill-- a bill designed to deny illegal immigrants from obtaining social security benefits. And we have come to find out that Mccain would not nominate somebody like Supreme Court Justice, Samual Alito, because "he wore his conservatism on his sleeve." So what do we need then, Mr, Senator--more, ACLU lovin' Ruth Bader Ginsbergs. Another Souter, perhaps? Hands down, Mccain is bad news for conservatives. Huckabee, on the other hand, supports The Fair Tax-- a national sales tax that would replace payroll taxes and give workers their whole check. Furthermore, it would abolish The IRS once for and all, everybody would have to pay taxes (illegal immigrants, criminals, corporations, The Kennedys and liberal elite)not just working class Americans. Huckabee, despite his dismal immigration record up to this point, has pledged: "While visiting North Greenville University today, former Arkansas Governor and Presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee became the first presidential candidate to sign a 'no amnesty' pledge. He was joined at the event by Roy Beck, President of Americans for Better Immigration. 'I think it's important to be very clear,' said Huckabee. 'There should be no doubt about my Secure America Plan: our plan is not an amnesty or a sanctuary city plan but a proper plan for the rule of law. We will secure our borders and build the fence within 18 months.' Following is the pledge signed: 'I pledge to oppose amnesty or any other special path to citizenship for the millions of foreign nationals unlawfully present in the United States. As President, I will fully implement enforcement measures that, over time, will lead to the attrition of our illegal immigrant population. I also pledge to make security of our borders a top priority of my administration.'" January 16, 2008; Huckabee for President, Inc. These are my main two reasons for supporting Huckabee. However, this is a two horse race at this point. Huckabee is finished. He knows it and we know it. The only candidate left that can stop the scourge that Mccain represents is Mitt Romney. I have had my reservations about Romney because he was from The North East and Republicans there have a perculiar way of sounding like Democrats. However, he has grown on me. He's intelligent, he's moved towards the right on a number of issues, and he has a good record in the past of being tough on illegal immigration. He doesn't support The Fair Tax but eventually the tidal wave of opinion that is swelling will be too much for even him to ignore. Politicians are always aware of popular opinion and are quick to change their views if it means re-election (just ask all The Democrats who voted for The Iraq War). Do yourselves a favor and vote for Romney, even if you're leaning towards Huckabee. And for those of you that like Mccain do your research. Make sure this is the man you want representing you. He no longer represents me and he will be a disaster for the party come November because conservatives will not rally to him--and it's going to take the whole, motivated, voting base to win in November. Take care and vote right tomorrow. Sincerely, Ivoteright

Hey Everyone, I thought you might like these from the greatest conservative of our time--Ronald Reagan. I grew up with this man through the 80's and I remember feeling a sense of loss when he left office. 'Here's my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.'- Ronald Reagan The Way it should be. “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.” - Ronald Reagan No kidding. 'The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.' - Ronald Reagan Understatement these days. 'Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.' - Ronald Reagan Exactly! 'I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.' - Ronald Reagan Ha! 'The taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination.' - Ronald Reagan Nor does he get paid a fat salary. 'Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.' - Ronald Reagan The liberal mindset. 'The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program.' - Ronald Reagan Beware of universal health care. 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.' - Ronald Reagan Yep. 'Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.' - Ronald Reagan That hasn't changed. 'Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed, there are many rewards; if you disgrace yourself, you can always write a book.' - Ronald Reagan. Bill Clinton. 'No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is as formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.'- Ronald Reagan Soviet Union, Afghanistan, Iraq.... 'If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.' Tell that to the ACL-puke!
