How pathetic is the youth of this nation if the children in the movie theatre ask to rewind the movie to watch a scene over again? It is no wonder that this nation has the highest obesity levels in the world. We are way too busy sitting in front of the computer playing games or reading blogs, wink wink, or watching television, and with the new high tech digital video recorders and TiVo we can watch more shows in less time by simply eliminating commercials altogether. Because of all these new technological improvements, the general intelligence and health of the populace has decreased significantly. Children are even falling into the trap by becoming too involved with the digital recorders that when I was in a movie theatre, a child stated, loud enough for the entire theatre to hear him, that the movie personnel should rewind the movie so the child may see the humorous line again. It just sickens me.

Minority candidates should not receive votes based solely on being a minority in a campaign. All candidates should receive votes based on the issues and policymaking standpoints within a given campaign. A contender should only earn votes through approval of platforms, not on the postulant’s ethnicity, race, religion, or sex. A minority in office is only concerned with fixing the problems within his/her own given minority. They will not be concerned with the problems facing the general population. I believe that, as a nation, the population is not well informed. We are not well informed when it comes to national and international news. While we are not well informed, we are, though, well entertained. The media controls, to a certain extent, what the nation sees, and overall, knows about world wide and even country wide issues. The news would rather show a story on pop princess Britney Spears basically having a mental breakdown. The media has had a field day discussing her baldness, her flashing everybody when getting out of a car, or largely losing her children to her ex-husband, (loosely named) rapper Kevin Federline. The country would rather watch and be amused by Britney and Kevin than learn about the reduction of the Al-Qaida numbers in Baghdad or the beatification of 498 Spanish martyrs. The United States, as a whole, would rather learn about the death of Anna Nicole Smith and who just happened to be her baby’s father, than of the death of a teenager from a suburban area, who managed not to die of an overdose or have a baby out of wedlock. Although I believe that we are not well informed, in certain times of conflict, I also believe that a nation, our nation, simply chooses to be entertained rather than filled with panic.

The population of this country(USA) is 300 million. 160 million are retired. That leaves 140 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school. Which leaves 55 million to do the work. Of this there are 35 million employed by the federal government. Leaving 15 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing Osama Bin-Laden. Which leaves 12.2 million to do the work. Take from that total the 10.8 million people who work for state and city Governments. And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals. Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And there you are, sitting on your ass, At your computer, reading jokes. Nice. Real nice.

So when I was opening the internet and I saw this article. I got really into it so I read another article about it. I guess the new theory of evolution can also be proof of the Genesis theory. I don't know which theory I believe, but the idea that we evolved from primates is now being challenged. According to the fossil that was just discovered, primates and cavemen both evolved from a similar ancestor rather than one from the other. I would like to say congratulations to all the married couples out there. The divorce rate has the lowest percentage rate since 1970. The divorce rate has hit a low of 36%. That is a major accomplishment by this country. In previous years, the divorce rate in this country has been the highest out of every other country. We have finally lowered the divorce rate to a more acceptable percentile. Now only one out of three marriages will end in divorce. BRAVO!!

Playing for Brett this week AP- Green Bay Times - December, 2007 The Green Bay Packers delivered a shocking announcement today. Their starting quarterback this Sunday will be Mrs. Brett Favre, who will play for Brett during the first quarter. Fans in Green Bay were shocked when this announcement was made, but Mrs. Favre assured the fans that, "Hey, I know this game. I live with Brett. I have taken several road trips on the team plane. I've gone to the pre-game meal. I know a lot of the Packers. I've played around with a lot of the Packers in the back yard. I've tossed the football with them, and I know what a slot right 60-Prevent-Slot-Hook-And-Go is and I know how to avoid a corner blitz." So they polled the people in Green Bay , 50% of Packers fans are excited, motivated, looking forward to the big game. All right, you think that's ridiculous? Let me reread this. In a shocking announcement today, Mrs. Hillary Clinton announced that she is running for president of the United States because she knows Bill Clinton and has lived with him, and she was there on a lot of trips to China and around the world, and she really cared about kids for 35 years. She's fought and she stood up for kids, and she's tried to fix health care, and she knows fifty percent of the American people say, "That's good enough for us." Ignorance is bliss?????
